All We Need

An exhibition on needs, resources and fairness.
An exhibition on needs, resources and fairness. Halles des Soufflantes, Esch/Belval, Luxembourg The exhibition «All We Need» was staged in the spectacular blower hall of the former Belval steel works. It is one of the main strands of the programme of the European Capital of Culture 2007.

The economist Manfred Max-Neef classified the fundamental human needs, they were the starting point of the exhibition. Each of these needs, a part of the exhibiton was devoted: Relax, Survive, Choose, Love, Belong, Protect, Understand, Create, Dream, Stand up.

This publication reflects the exhibition with pictures and essays and further it provides an insight into a complex topic. A comprehensive text-image-collage illustrate the needs and is supplemented with journalistic and art historical images and quotes from the philosophy.

In collaboration with Emanuel Tschumi, we realised the design concept for the visual identity, the signage and the publication.
